Consultation on a proposal to expand Hunslet St Mary’s Primary School from 2017

Due to a  growing level of need for school places in the Hunslet school planning area, it has been identified that additional school places are required permanently to meet  future demand from local families. In developing a proposal to provide additional school places we have considered local demographics, the preference patterns of families, highways issues and the location of any new housing.

We are now seeking your views on the following proposal: To expand Hunslet St Mary’s Church of England Primary School from a capacity of 210 to 315 pupils and to increase the admission limit in reception from 30 to 45 pupils from September 2017.

This consultation will run from Monday 25 April to Friday 20 May 2016 at 4pm. During this time there will be drop-in sessions at the school where you can have your say and find out more about the proposal.

The drop-in sessions will be held at Hunslet St Mary’s CoE Primary School on the following dates:

  • Friday 29th April, 8:30 – 10:00am
  • Wednesday 4th May, 3:30 – 5:00pm
  • Thursday 19th May, 3:15 – 4:30pm

You may leave a comment or discuss this proposal by clicking the ‘leave a comment’ button at the bottom of the page.
