Consultation on the proposal to expand Carr Manor Community School and to establish SEN provision from September 2017

We have reviewed the comments on the suggestions made at a stakeholder event in March 2015 and have now developed a proposal for this area (see previous post below). We have considered local demographics, the preference patterns of families, potential to expand on the site, highways issues, the location of any new housing and the comments from this forum.

We are now seeking your views on the following proposal:

To expand Carr Manor Community School from a capacity of 210 to 420 pupils in its primary phase and to increase the admission limit in reception from 30 to 60 pupils from September 2017.

We would also like your views on the proposal to establish provision for pupils with Complex Communication Difficulties including children who may have a diagnosis of ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) from September 2017 for approximately 12 pupils (6 primary, 6 secondary).

This consultation will run from Monday 14 September 2015 to Friday 9 October 2015 at 4pm and during this time there will be drop-in sessions at the school where you can have your say or find out more.

The drop-in sessions will be held at Carr Manor Community School in the primary campus (entrance on Stainbeck Lane) as follows:

Thursday 17 September 2015 6.00pm-7.30pm
Tuesday 22 September 2015 3.00pm-4.30pm
Friday 2 October 2015 8.00am-9.30am
